Are you an outgoing person who likes to meet new people who share the same values and concerns about our nation as you?
Then helping Convention of States by calling to thank petition signers and welcoming new volunteers as a FOLLOW-UP TEAM MEMBER may be a great start for you as a COS Volunteer. Or, even signing up as a VOLUNTEER ACTIVIST and then joining the TELEPATRIOT TEAM so you can assist at events and call supporters for calls to action to support our goals.
You may come to find out that your district or a district near you is in need of a DISTRICT CAPTAIN, whose role it is to reach out to volunteers in that district, teach them about Article V, and activate them by guiding them to contact their state legislators and have gatherings to share COS with others. You'll need to be comfortable with learning new technology as we have a Volunteer Relationships Management tool (CitizenBuilder) we use to keep us all organized and effective.
As you continue to work with our volunteers, you may find that you enjoy helping us recruit and train new COS leaders as a member of the STATE GRASSROOTS COORDINATOR team. You’d help new volunteers to decide which role would suit them, ensure they get the proper training, and connect them with the appropriate leaders in their district and region.
If you like working with a core team of volunteers, you may be more interested in roles like REGIONAL CAPTAIN where you help lead District Captains in setting goals and holding events in their districts. Or you may serve as an EVENTS COORDINATOR by helping District and Regional Captains plan, send invitations, acquire materials, and work with the STATE COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR to promote those events.
Many of these events are attended by our esteemed veterans, and you may be a veteran yourself. If so, we’d love for you to join the team of the VETERANS COALITIONS DIRECTOR.
You may be one of those bold individuals who enjoy making connections and forging relationships with influential people. One our most important volunteer positions is that of LEGISLATIVE LIAISON, whose role it is to reach out to our state legislators and help our District Captains and volunteers to connect with them.
You may want to serve as a COALITIONS DIRECTOR and help COS form alliances with leaders of organizations whose members would most likely support Convention of States.
Or you may have that charismatic personality that comes in handy when interacting with media personalities, and that would make you a good candidate as a STATE MEDIA LIAISON.
Maybe you’re not so much of a people person. Introverts are patriots who love their country, too! We have roles for these special COS servants as well. Our multitudes of volunteers and their contact info is managed on a custom-designed database system called CitizenBuilder. We are always looking for computer-savvy and tech-oriented people to help us in the role as STATE INFORMATION ANALYST.
We also appreciate creative writing skills of our STATE CONTENT WRITER. If you have that particular talent, we’d love to hear from you.
We also encourage those with good communication skills to consider serving COS as a SOCIAL MEDIA WARRIOR. Your comments can help turn the tide of public opinion in our favor.
Our teams are encouraged to have frequent events throughout the state. If you don’t mind traveling once in a while and you like to use your smart phone or a camera to take video clips which can be put together into 2-5 minute info-snippets to educate the public, we’d love to have you join our team as a STATE VIDEOGRAPHER.
Last but definitely not least, we believe our Founders created our beloved U.S. Constitution under the guidance and inspiration of God. We hold that same faith and frequently ask our PRAYER WARRIOR TEAM to intercede on our endeavors in this great mission. If you’re a praying believer, please consider joining this essential team.
