August was a busy month for the Convention of States Michigan grassroots!
From the Howell Melon Festival, Munger Potato Festival and the Genesee County Fair to the Otsego County Fair and Antrim County Fair, we talked to people about using an Article V convention to rein in our federal government. Many people we encountered looked scared or seemed reluctant to listen, but walked away with a glimmer of hope that something could be done to change the direction of our country.
We engaged with naysayers, showing them the facts surrounding an Article V convention and Constitutional history.
In all, we added 622 new petition signers from a variety of political and ideological backgrounds. In one volunteer’s words, “It’s better than sitting at home complaining!”
State representatives and senators are now receiving notification of our growing support.
The Michigan team is taking action. If you’re tired of sitting home complaining or feeling powerless - do something.
VOLUNTEER your skills in one of the many positions throughout the state. Whatever you can do, we have a place for you.

We held a 12-week class focused on the Constitution. More than a dozen people came together from Clio, Flushing, Goodrich, Ortonville, Saginaw, Hartland and the Thumb to Learn About the Constitution. Not only did we learn, but we also had great discussions and made new friends ... a very rewarding experience!
