You know we’re in trouble when the White House changes the definition of “recession”

Published in Blog on July 26, 2022 by Article V Patriot

There’s one thing you must remember when the second quarter GDP report comes out later this week: it’s surely NOT a recession.

Just keep repeating this to yourself: “It’s not a recession, the economy is just fine and it’s all Putin’s fault.”

While we’re using satire here at Convention of States Action, the White House is not. Biden’s staffers want you to play along with the word games so they don’t ever have to face the reality that it’s all their fault. So what do they do? Get the public to believe their twisted rhetoric, which sadly works to some extent.

Exactly one week before the release of Q2 GDP stats (this Thursday), the White House slyly shared updated information on how economists officially assess and determine a recession, titled, “How Do Economists Determine Whether the Economy Is in a Recession?”

The page explains the idea that two consecutive financial quarters with a declining GDP is not really a recession, despite that typically being the general rule.

The White House says “it is unlikely that the decline in GDP in the first quarter of this year—even if followed by another GDP decline in the second quarter—indicates a recession.”

Even news outlets are entertaining the idea that a negative report may not necessarily mean a recession.

No matter what “reality” may tell you in just two days when the data is released, just know that we’re in the clear.... whatever that subjectively means.

The Biden administration has perfected word manipulation, as seen with the blatant redefining of “gender” in Title IX and in other definitions such as “vaccine” and “woman.” Biology is difficult.

The one problem for Biden is what they call a critical thinker, people who don't simply believe the lies. These "difficult" Americans won't just go along with the idea that the word “recession” is just as fluid as they claim gender to be.

It’s truly not surprising that the leftists in the White House who cheat, lie and twist in order to spin anything into a “positive” story are preparing for negative economic headlines. Reality can be and is constantly manipulated in order to produce a perceived outcome.

This brings to light an even deeper issue at hand: progressives will never acknowledge middle America’s reality when things go awry. Whether that’s leftism, socialism or communism, they’ll keep ignorantly pretending it's utopianism.

We can’t let the attack on reality continue.

In the days ahead, we’ll be bombarded with propaganda, although the media appears to somewhat be turning on Befuddled Biden. We must recognize censorship, word games and power tactics used to control our minds and way of thinking.

Convention of States is the solution to an abusive government that’s trying to quite-evidently control the masses. Article V was written in the Constitution to allow the people to have a voice if the federal government became tyrannical.

Help us call a Convention of States so that we can implement checks – like term limits – to rein in the federal government’s power.

Be a voice for freedom and self-governance. Get involved with Convention of States.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
