‘Department of Injustice,’ ‘mob lawyer’: Mark Levin sounds off on DOJ for Trump indictment

Published in Blog on June 09, 2023 by Jakob Fay

It’s a frightening time in American history when a former president is indicted by the sitting president’s administration, especially considering both men are vying for the office in next year’s election.

Former President Donald Trump revealed on Thursday that he faces up to 100 years in prison after being prosecuted by Joe Biden’s renegade Department of Justice (DOJ). Spearheaded by the malcontent Attorney General, Merrick Garland, the DOJ has been widely criticized for allegedly hyper-partisan abuse of power.

According to ABC News, the charges leveraged against Trump include “willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy to obstruct justice, withholding a document or record, corruptly concealing a document or record, concealing a document in a federal investigation, scheme to conceal, and false statements and representations.”

Reportedly, federal authorities have also charged a Trump valet and aide, Walt Nauta, who was responsible for handling the boxes in which the former president may have kept classified documents.

Trump is now set to face a federal grand jury in Florida. He also faces felony charges in New York and an ongoing investigation in Georgia.

Convention of States stalwart Mark Levin
blazoned his disgust at the hyper-partisan debacle on his show on Thursday, calling the indictment a “disgusting, disgusting mark on American history.”

“They have used the Department of Justice and the FBI to get what they want,” cried an irate Levin. “Merrick Garland is a mob lawyer…. I suppose over there, at the Department of Injustice—and this clown prosecutor spent a lot of time at the head—they probably figured these laws could be used to entrap Trump…. This is a documents case where a former president faces a hundred years in federal prison. Is this some kind of a sick joke on the American people?”

Author of “The Liberty Amendments,” Mark Levin has been very open that the federal government is too corrupt to ever be reformed internally. As he said on his show last week, “Washington will never and ultimately can never fix Washington…. The reason why I support Convention of States is because I'm convinced that the only way to fundamentally alter the trajectory of this country is not watching TV and listening to the politicians or reading columns by all those who claim to be experts…. It's by taking the power out of Washington.”

With every passing day, as corruption and dysfunction increase in federal politics, our need for an Article V convention grows stronger. To join Levin and millions of patriot Americans in their support, sign the Convention of States petition below.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
