STATE VIDEOGRAPHER TRAINING - PART 2
Welcome to State Videographer Training (SV) Part 2!
You've finished Part 1 and spoken with the State Communications Coordinator. Now you will be ASSIGNED the SV role.
Here's what you need to complete for Part 2 of your training.
1. Connect With the Team
- Find the email with your new COS Action email address. Confirm it by clicking on the link. This email address forwards to your personal email account.
- Download the COS Action App to your phone (iPhone / Android) and sign into it.
- You will receive email invitations to join two Slack Workspaces (Michigan COS & COS Comms). The Slack app is available for your phone and/or desktop.
- Follow Convention of States on Social Media including:
- Facebook: Convention of States Michigan
- Facebook: Convention of States National
- Twitter: @COSProject
2. Convention of States University (3 hrs, 37 min)
To access these courses, log in to COS University using the same email and password you made for this website. (Reset your password here.)
3. Submitting Action Reports
Action Reports are a critical part of uniting all our individual efforts into one focused movement. They can be made through the COS Action App or the COS Website. Watch the videos below and save/print the instructions for your future reference.

4. Setting Yourself Up for Success
While you now know pretty much everything you need to get started, the following steps will help you be truly prepared to do this job.
- Mark your calendar for 8 PM on the second Tuesday night of each month for a Comms Team call. The Zoom link and agenda will be sent to you via email prior to the meeting.
- Plan to attend Regional Zoom meetings. Your Region Captain will send you the details.
When you have completed all these things, please Slack or email the State Communications Coordinator with the news.
