All of us supporting a SJ-1 oppose a Constitutional Convention. SJ-1 proposes an amendments convention, not a constitutional convention. The two are as different as Joe Biden and Donald Trump.
The most recent convention of states was held in the 1990s to discuss water rights among several western states.
The only power this Convention of States has is to propose, not adopt, amendments to the Constitution.
Paul Macri is a new to Maryland, but not new to Convention of States Action. Paul and his wife recently moved from Hawaii to Westover (District 38). Paul was active with Convention of States Action Hawaii and is now Maryland's our Grassroots Coordinator.

Mike, Bob and Paul represent over 30,000 Maryland citizens that support an Article V Convention of States as proposed in SJ1 and HJ2. There are 30,500 Marylanders that have signed the petition and expect a vote on the resolution by the Committee for a full debate on the Senate floor.
The legislative session is ending soon - we are hopeful our resolution will be voted on this session so that it can be debated in the full House and Senate.

We are now more than halfway to our goal to convene a Convention of States! 19 of the needed 34 states have passed the resolution, and we're making progress in the remaining states, including Maryland.
