U.S. sovereignty slipping as WHO members agree to draft legally binding pandemic contract

Published in Blog on December 09, 2022 by Brianna Kraemer

At the World Health Organization’s latest get-together in Geneva, Switzerland this week, Member States agreed to develop the first draft of a legally binding contract intended to rescue the world when future pandemics strike.

The Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB) – established just one year ago in December 2021 – is comprised of the WHO’s 194 Member States. After the three-day meeting, the INB approved the next steps in preparing a global agreement that takes into account equity, promotes preparedness, ensures solidarity, and respects sovereignty, a WHO press release states.

Ironically, world leaders consistently meet for these conventions on their proposed agendas. However, on a smaller, national level, some American politicians assert that calling for the states to gather at an Article V Convention of States is a dangerous idea.

The first pandemic contract outline, called a “zero draft,” will be ready for negotiations at the INB’s fourth official meeting in February 2023.

As previously noted by COS when these visions first came to light in June, a global pandemic treaty puts American sovereignty at risk. Powers and funding could be surrendered from individual countries to the United Nations’ WHO for pandemic control.

The rationale for such a plot is to prevent the “devastating impacts” Covid-19 had on individuals and communities worldwide. But in all honesty, if it weren’t for government regulation, many people would have never been impacted by the virus at all.

This is a slippery slope toward a one-world ruling system on the basis of health. There is no reason for the U.S. government to comply with legally binding agreements that take away Americans’ representation and hand it over to the CCP. After all, the WHO is essentially run by China.

It's also worth remembering that the two largest donors to the WHO are first the U.S. government, and second Bill Gates.

As this global agreement moves into its development stages, it's critical to better understand what the term "legally binding" means on an international scale and how this will impact Americans.

What's certain is that We the People of America will have little to no voice in the WHO’s global health efforts. That's a huge red flag.

The states must come together to discuss limiting the scope of the federal government so that politicians can’t sell out our freedom for a global system of governance.

Convention of States is the solution because those who choose the WHO over American independence don't have the ability to influence our efforts.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
