North Carolina Rally Tomorrow!

Don’t forget that tomorrow, May 15, Convention of States Action (COSA) supporters, volunteers, and leaders will host a rally at the North Carolina state capitol in Raleigh – and you are invited! 

Join featured speakers including COSA co-founders Mark Meckler and Michael Farris, and COSA senior advisor and former U.S. senator Rick Santorum at Halifax Mall beginning at 11:00 ET. 

Halifax Mall is the green space adjacent to the legislative complex in Raleigh and located at 300 N. Salisbury Street. 

The COS North Carolina team has made tremendous strides in their efforts to elect citizen-legislators to the North Carolina General Assembly who are true public servants that advance limited government and ordered liberty. 

You have a terrific opportunity to lend your voice in urging members of the North Carolina General Assembly to support the COS resolution currently making its way through the legislature and make the Tar Heel State the 20th in the union to call for an Article V convention. 

The rally in Raleigh is scheduled to last until 1:00 p.m. ET. You can register here and learn more about available transportation and driving directions. 

We encourage COS supporters from neighboring states and throughout the mid-Atlantic to join what promises to be a day of reaffirming liberty and positive engagement with state representatives and senators.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention.
