Kamala Harris's husband to use gov. platform to fight ‘toxic masculinity'

Published in Blog on March 05, 2023 by Jakob Fay

In case you haven’t noticed, we are experiencing an immigration crisis on our southern border, our economy is in shambles, a vast majority of Americans think the country is heading in the wrong direction, education standards are falling to historic lows, and the War in Ukraine, thanks to poor leadership in the West, threatens to ignite into World War III.

With so many serious problems confronting the nation, you would think the Biden administration might do something – anything – to alter course.

Instead, he and his cohorts continue to sit on their hands, spectating as the nation falls to pieces.

But while saving America may not rank high on their to‐do list, apparently fighting “toxic masculinity” does.

In a recent interview with MSNBC, Second Gentleman of the United States, Douglass Emhoff (the same man who kissed the president’s wife at the State of the Union), said he worries a lot about toxic masculinity and plans to use his government platform to speak out against it. When asked what being second gentleman has taught him about “perceived gender roles and what it means to be a man,” he responded:

“This is something I have thought about a lot, something I've spoken about a lot. There's too much… toxicity – masculine toxicity out there, and we've kind of confused what it means to be a man, what it means to be masculine.”

He later added, “every time I can speak against this toxicity — we are seeing it with our younger people, we’re seeing it in our discourse and politics, in the media, you are seeing it as it relates to so many of the issues we are pushing back on, so I think it’s a problem and I am going to continue to use this platform every time I get to speak out against this toxic masculinity that is out there.”

Is this really the kind of “problem” our government needs to be focused on? Young men are already taught to hate their masculinity; do we really need Kamala Harris’s husband to give us lectures about our innate toxicity Instead of celebrating the complementary differences between men and women, the Biden administration is fostering a culture where men cannot be manly but can be “women.”

It’s time to bar these deeply unserious “leaders” from controlling our lives and destroying our country. The only way to do it is through an Article V Convention of States by which the states can take power back from D.C. To join us in our efforts, sign the Convention of States petition below.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
