An unserious president for an unserious people

Published in Blog on December 27, 2022 by Jakob Fay

Does anyone take the Biden administration seriously anymore?

If most of what I have recently heard about our White House turned out to be Babylon Bee satire, I honestly would not be surprised.

The 46th President of the United States has taken a plunge into sheer lunacy and for those of us who actually care about America and her reputation on the world stage, his behavior is deeply embarrassing.

Earlier this month, President Biden signed a same-sex marriage bill while surrounded by several abnormal characters including non-binary Sam Smith (who once said “I feel just as much a woman as I am man”), the eccentric Cyndi Lauper (who wrote songs for a musical called Kinky Boots), and Marti G. Cummings (an LGBTQ activist and drag queen). An internet search of any of these misfits would reveal that they should not be anywhere near the White House.

The latter, Cummings, has performed in drag for a two-year-old boy and once tweeted: “The kids are out to sing and suck d!”

A sane world would put this person in jail. Ours invites him to the White House.

Amazingly, all of this happened in the same week that the Biden administration fired its Deputy Assistant Secretary for Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition, Sam Brinton, after multiple allegations of luggage theft. Long before it was revealed that Brinton had a penchant for nabbing suitcases, however, he was already a controversial figure. Prior to his brief stint at the White House, Brinton taught “Kink 101” workshops on college campuses. In an uncovered interview, he also suggested he sometimes has sex with animals.

You might think all of this is enough to make Biden – a professing moderate – the biggest joke of the century. But the media refuses to bat an eye at any of it.

I cannot help but ask: What would George Washington think? What would Abraham Lincoln think? What would any occupant of the White House prior to the 21st century think?

Washington, in particular, took great pride in maintaining his classy, gentlemanlike image because he did not want to be a reproach to his country.

He represented more than just himself; he represented his country and did not want to let her down. His very presence demanded respect.

Biden’s does the exact opposite.

While the media pats him on the back for being the most LGBTQ-inclusive president in history, the watching world snickers behind our back.

Porn in our schools. A crisis on our border. A bungled withdrawal from Afghanistan. War in Ukraine. Iran’s brazen threats to annihilate us. The Merchant of Death freed in exchange for a whiney WNBA star.

The United States is in shambles.

We have become the laughingstock of the world, but at least Biden can give himself woke brownie points.

At least he can say he employed the first “female” four-star admiral (who happens to be a biological male) and a luggage thief who has an aberrant kink for dogs.

At least his administration made videos with a gay TikTok star and welcomed Dylan Mulvaney into the White House for a “very serious” meeting with the leader of the free world.

One of these days, America is going to run headfirst into reality. We cannot avoid it forever. And when that day comes, we will look back on these years and finally see the truth: that we were an unserious people with an unserious president.

Until then, this great nation will be the world’s favorite object of ridicule.

It's time for We the People – those of us who still are serious about liberty – to reclaim control of our government and demand sanity be reinstated.

While our so-called "leaders" squander away their time and resources on unserious pursuits, we are hard at work to legally bar them from controlling our lives and destroying our country. The only way to do it is through an Article V Convention of States by which the states can take power back from D.C. To join us in our efforts, sign the Convention of States petition below.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
