The ladies at “The View” are rejoicing, and celebrities around the globe are ecstatic—Donald J. Trump is, officially, a convicted felon.
“Guilty,” Star Wars actor Mark Hamill tweeted 34 times.
“GUILTY ON ALL CHARGES!!!!!” wrote “Hocus Pocus” star Bette Midler.
“34 is now my favorite number,” gushed actress Lynda Carter, referring to the number of guilty charges.
Meanwhile, at ABC’s “The View,” Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Ana Navarro, and Sunny Hostin, in the words of one writer, “could not contain their excitement as they celebrated former President Donald Trump’s conviction.”

But, as these A-listers and elites rhapsodize about Trump’s “downfall,” polling has already revealed a gaping divide between the establishment’s views on the topic and everyday Americans’.
Unsurprisingly, 80% of Trump supporters said they would support the former president even if he was convicted, while another study found that 76% of voters expected the decision would not affect their vote.
Polling conducted by Convention of States Action seemed to corroborate these results: across Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter), and COS emails, an average of 94.2% of respondents denied that the verdict would impact how they will vote.

Another poll conducted by ABC News/Ipsos reveals that, while voters are roughly split about the accuracy of the verdict (50% believe it is correct), only 38% say the charges were not politically motivated.
But despite the deep divides amongst voters on this contentious topic, Hollywood stars and elite continue to act, laugh, and cheer like nothing’s wrong.
Ultimately, this is so much bigger than Trump; this is about ensuring Americans are free to act upon their political beliefs without fear of retaliation from a corrupt, overbearing administrative state. Thankfully, the Article V convention process—a constitutional solution by which the states can take power from the federal government and return it to the people—enables us to do just that.
If we want to fix America politically—and make our voices heard—we must call an Article V convention. Sign the petition below or visit conventionofstates.com to learn more!
