From October 6–9, 2022, hundreds of COS grassroots patriots gathered in Orlando, Florida, for the Reclaiming Liberty Summit, the biggest event in Convention of States’ 10-year history. Today, one year later, this event still resonates as an inspiring, historic, and revolutionary milestone in the fight to save our country.
To fully appreciate the significance of this gathering, it's crucial to recall the challenges faced by everyday, pro-American, liberty-loving patriots in the preceding two years: Lockdowns, mandates, pervasive censorship by powerful tech giants at the bidding of our political "elites" and "experts," and the weaponization of government institutions of power. These plagues of America’s ruling class dealt serious damage to the morale of the American people and left many of us wondering, “Am I the only one who cares? Am I the only one who still loves this country? Am I alone in the fight?”
Thanks to the 2022 Reclaiming Liberty Summit, we found the answer to those questions: a resounding "no." As the largest, most potent assembly of grassroots patriots in America converged for the most momentous event in the history of Convention of States, the irrefutable truth became evident: We are not, nor have we ever been, alone in this fight.

Every day, without fail, our army of supporters is hard at work to reach the 34-state threshold needed to trigger an Article V convention. Over 600 of those activists gathered in Florida for a week of encouragement and rejuvenation.
The summit kicked off with a rousing speech from Convention of States President Mark Meckler, followed by the founder of Project Veritas, James O’Keefe. Throughout the event, Meckler reminded the audience that all the speakers, from O’Keefe to Steve Deace and Mark Levin, have our backs and will personally be there for us whenever the fight is too much to bear alone.
“I could call him anywhere in the country,'' he said of Lt. Col. Allen West, “and tell him there was a firefight going on—and I mean a firefight—and he would come. He would be there for you. He would be there for me.”
“Everybody who comes on this stage is a friend of Convention of States,” he later recapped.

In addition to listening to many unforgettable speeches from renowned COS endorsers (other speakers included Michael Farris, Sen. Rick Santorum, Dave Rubin, Pete Hegseth, Rick Green, and many more), attendees also had the opportunity to participate in collaborative breakout sessions designed to boost our endeavors to make the first-ever Article V convention a reality. The sessions covered a wide array of topics, such as utilizing social media to spread awareness about Convention of States, influencing legislators, servant leadership, and GOTV election efforts.
Throughout the event, we heard moving stories of grassroots supporters who have sacrificed tremendously for COS. These stories featured patriots who gave up their favorite hobbies to invest more time and money in the cause. Among them were veterans, grandparents, pastors, and other everyday heroes who answered the call of duty.
In retrospect, the 2022 Reclaiming Liberty Summit felt like a COS family reunion. After two years of enforced isolation and division, it was pertinent that the movement regroup in person and revitalize itself for the fight to come. Meeting and embracing fellow patriots from all 50 states was an emotional and life-changing experience.
Attendees left with a sure sense that we are not alone in this fight. They left with increased devotion to the cause of liberty and ultimately they left with a reminder, as Mark Levin said during his keynote address, that God is on our side.
