Convention of States is alive and kicking in the state of Minnesota. Morristown had a Gun and Knife Show on May 15 and 16 at Ahlman’s Lucky Lady. COS was one of many booths that was there.
The parking lot at Ahlman’s was overflowing with over 1500 people in attendance. This is the 2nd year they have been doing the gun show and another will occur in the spring.
The crowd consisted mainly of men, then women and children. More women are becoming interested in guns according to an employee at Ahlman’s, so they come to the shows or the store.
Daniel Gumbert “Gun Show Dan,” who is part of the Wisconsin team came over to help our Minnesota Convention State Team. Tim Shea, Terry Reuvers, Paula Ergen, Rick Jensen (the State Videographer), and District Captains were all apart of the success at the gun show.
Due to the success of the show, COS got 114 signatures for the petition and four volunteers. Minnesota has over 30,000 petition signers so far and has been gaining over 1000 per month in recent months.
Watch for COS at more gun shows. Gun shows are a great venue to talk to many patriotic people about what states can do to get our government to work for the people.
COS is a national grassroots movement in every state that is urging state legislators to use their powers under Article V of the Constitution to propose amendments to restore limits on all three branches of the federal government.
