Convention of States Action (COSA) president and co-founder Mark Meckler appeared as a last-minute sub for actor, filmmaker, and COS supporter Kirk Cameron as the featured guest on last night's unpredictable yet action-packed edition of "COS at Home."
As always, Convention of States Action regional director Jonathan Viaud amiably and gracefully served as host (along with his erstwhile cohort and daughter, Erin, whom Mark dubbed "the cutest kid in Convention of States").
Jonathan began the program by sending out hearty and well-deserved congratulations to the Pennsylvania team for their tremendous efforts that helped secure a victory for the COS resolution in the Senate State Government Committee. The resolution moves to the Senate floor.
The "5 for V" segment was a dazzling and inspiring montage of COS endorsers such as Mark Levin, Rand Paul, Ben Carson, and many more that was compiled by producer extraordinaire Garrett Humbertson.
"COS Now" recapped an exciting week of activity for the movement to call an Article V convention and previewed next week's "Courage vs. Status Quo" tour featuring Mark and Patriot Academy's Rick Green, about which Mark spoke at length during his talk with Jonathan.
Dipping into the Minutemen Mailbag, Jonathan fielded a question from Sandy Reno of Tennessee, who asked an incisive question about how amending the Constitution would make a difference given that the government seldom follows the Constitution presently. Jonathan discussed how the government follows the annotated Constitution, a compilation of Supreme Court precedents that numbers over 3,000 pages rather than the succinct Constitution as written and amended.

Mark joined Jonathan to follow up on the annotated Constitution and to discuss the significance of today's National Day of Prayer event and his thoughts about the importance of daily prayer, the National Monument to the Forefathers in Plymouth, Massachusetts. He also shared some engaging stories about Kirk Cameron -- particularly how Kirk's down-to-earth persona helped him navigate Hollywood and stay true to himself and his values throughout his successful career.
The show wrapped with a compelling COS "elevator pitch" from Lindsay Fisher of North Carolina. The North Carolina team will host a rally in Raleigh on May 15 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET at the Halifax Mall, the green space adjacent to the legislative complex.
Jonathan announced that next month's guest will be the latest COS endorser, former U.S. representative from New Mexico, Yvette Herrell. That episode will air live on June 5 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
