Amnesia sets in quickly.
After what was to many a disappointing midterm election, some began losing hope for America and giving up on the often tedious fight to save our country. What they seem to have forgotten, however, is that 2022 – although it came with its share of serious challenges – was overall a good year for Article V supporters.
At the beginning of the year, I predicted that 2022 would be a year of “great victories counterpoised by great losses, small successes lost in a relentless cycle of bad news.” It is our responsibility to take stock of those great losses without blinding ourselves to the many victories we enjoyed.
As we step into 2022, and I once again predict a year in which progress will stagger between good and bad news, Convention of States is honored to revisit the greatest triumphs of the old year in anticipation of many more in the new. May they serve as our reminder that, at the end of the day, our movement is moving forward, and we will not stop.
Four HISTORIC wins for Convention of States
Those who dismiss our efforts to call the first-ever Article V Convention of States and say we are not making any progress seem to have forgotten the stunning successes procured by the movement in early 2022. Less than four months into the new year, four states had already passed the Convention of States resolution.

Media attacks confirmed Convention of States is rattling the Swamp
While 2022 brought enormous progress for the Convention of States movement, the year also brought the realization that the mainstream media will stand together to tear away our efforts for an Article V convention.
We received a plethora of negative press this year – from mainstream leftist media outlets, that is. Typically in public relations, that would be seen as a crisis, but for COSA, we are wrapping up 2022 feeling accomplished for making the manufactured news headlines.

Reclaiming Liberty Leadership Summit & Michael Farris’ return to COS
At this year’s Reclaiming Liberty Leadership Summit, a familiar face announced his return to the organization.

Convention of States’ largest Emerging Leaders Program to date
Each year, Convention of States is honored to welcome a new batch of young patriots into its internship, the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP). This year, Jackson Allen and Reagan Green, our 2022-2023 intern coordinators, assembled the largest (and quite possibly the best) group of young zealots in COS history.
“We have taken the intern program to new heights,” said Jackson, the ELP director. “We now have 16 interns ranging from all walks of life that are passionate about self-governance, freedom, and America’s future.”

Success of the grassroots
America’s currency famously bears the phrase, “E pluribus unum”, one out of many.
Much like the nation it fights to defend, the Convention of States is the collection of many, with one united goal.

These victories have emboldened our grassroots army to fight even harder in 2023. But we need your help. If you love America and are ready to leave federal tyranny in the past, sign the Convention of States petition below and get involved today!
