OUR CLASSES

The Convention of States Teach Freedom program, in association with Patriot Academy, offers courses designed to inspire, educate and equip students with the meaning of our founding principles in an effort to secure our posterity and plant seeds of the fundamentals that made America great.

CONSTITUTION ALIVE and BIBLICAL CITIZENSHIP CLASSES FOR AGES 12 THROUGH ADULT 

Enroll in FREE Constitution Alive and Biblical Citizenship classes offered by Convention of States CONSTITUTION COACHES, in association with Patriot Academy. Using our tools and entertaining programs, you can begin the restoration of Biblical & Constitutional principles in your community. Making it more interesting and fun, the videos from which your constitution coach will be teaching were shot on location in the amazing Wall Builders library of original documents and actually in Independence Hall! Follow along with America’s Constitution expert Rick Green and renowned historian David Barton as they give an incredible “quick-start” guide to the document that is the cornerstone of our American liberty!

Constitution Alive

Constitution Alive is entertaining and educational, this class brings the Constitution to life! Your student or group will quickly gain a deeper understanding of every aspect of the Constitution. They will go through article-by-article through the Constitution along with the Bill of Rights and learn about executive orders; recess appointments; the electoral College; freedom of religion; the powers of Congress and the president plus much more.

Biblical Citizenship 

Throughout our history, American pastors and churches have played a vital role in the establishment and preservation of religious and civil liberty. Being “salt & light” requires knowledge of the culture we are attempting to preserve and influence as we fulfill the Great Commission to “make disciples of all the nations.”

Being Biblical citizens requires a knowledge of Biblical principles and how to apply them to the world around us. You or your church can be the catalyst for restoring Biblical Values in your neighborhood, State and Nation.

The Biblical Citizenship class uses excerpts from the “Constitution Alive” material and is enhanced with interviews from pastors and other Christian leaders who are engaged in today’s cultural battles. It was specifically designed for Christians and churches to deliver a tool that is easy to use, captivating and impactful!

Michael Farris is a visionary patriot, and without him, the Convention of States Project would never have been launched. He was founding president of both the Home School Legal Defense Association (1983) and Patrick Henry College (2000) and continues to serve as chairman of the board of HSLDA and chancellor emeritus of PHC. COS was an idea conceived by Michael Farris and Mark Meckler in 2013.

Physicians for COS

The diagnosis is clear.

We have a growing cancer today known as the Obamacare. As a result physicians are no longer free to practice medicine.

No profession feels the full force of the federal government more than physicians. The medical profession is the most highly regulated profession in the United States. The practice of medicine is controlled, taxed, and regulated to the point of being destroyed by the heavy hand of the federal government.

Physicians are told how to bill, how much to charge, and how to treat patients. They are mandated to use expensive electronic medical records. The federally enacted HIPPA (Health Information Privacy and Portability Act) makes the communication between physicians and atients burdensome, inefficient,and expensive. Every physician is required by federal mandate to register with the government to obtain an NPI (national provider identifier.) We are required by federal law to obtain and pay for a license to prescribe medication through the DEA, which is separate from our state licensure.

This heavy hand of government not only oversees the largest federal health bureaucracy ever created, but by extension reaches into every state, every city, and every small town to regulate how every licensed physician practices the art of medicine and how citizens obtain care.

The treatment is also clear.

The prescription for a cure was written into our constitution by our founders. Article V of our constitution allows for the states to call for a convention of states to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government through the proposal of constitutional amendments. Physicians should be the strongest supporters of this brilliantly-crafted states’ rights tool placed into our constitution by our founders.

I urge my fellow American physicians to join with me in supporting an Article V Convention of States to take back control of the practice of medicine. It’s the only way that we can return the practice of medicine back to the intimate relationship between a doctor and patient without interference by the heavy hand of a distant, national government.
