To fight tyranny 'you need something more than a gun,' Joe threatens (he hasn’t heard of COS)

Published in Blog on August 31, 2022 by Brianna Kraemer

Oblivious to the Founding Fathers' purpose in adding Article V to the U.S. Constitution, Biden mockingly told a crowd on Tuesday that to keep Americans independent and safe against a presumably tyrannical government, you’ll need more than just a gun.

Was that a threat by a sitting president to conservative-minded Americans?

"For those brave right-wing Americans who say it's all about keeping Americans independent and safe, if you want to fight against a country you need an F-15. You need something a little more than a gun,” he asserted at a stop in Pennsylvania.

Lucky for freedom-loving Americans, we already have something more: the power of Article V to call a Convention of States (we'll keep our right to bear arms while we're at it).

Mocking Americans for wanting to be independent and safe tells you all you need to know about where this administration stands on not just the belief in personal freedom, but also in the Convention of States movement.

Ironically advocating for his Safer America Plan, Biden also vowed to ban assault rifles during his speech.

Just think back to the campaign days when Biden promised to unite the nation. Remember the slogans? "Unite for a better future" was followed by a "battle for the soul of our nation."

In such little time, Joe turned his back on the majority of Americans he claimed he would bring together. Simultaneously he's done everything to centralize power in the federal government – not so much the "soul of our nation."

The soul of our nation lies is self-governance, as the brave settlers, Founding Fathers and immigrants lived out hundreds of years ago.

Comically, Biden is not yet aware of the coming Article V Convention of States, which is why he's latching onto one invaluable right Americans see as a means of freedom from government: firearms.

Little does he know Americans are no longer threatened by his verbal abuse. We clearly see his incapacity and we certainly will never turn in our guns to the commander-in-chief.

The power abuses will continue until We the People achieve the adequate 34-state threshold required to officially call for a Convention of States. Then Joe and his cronies will watch their power slip away before their eyes.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
