After securing second place in Monday night's Iowa Caucus, Governor Ron DeSantis expressed his enthusiasm for supporting the grassroots movement to convene an Article V convention. Responding to an activist's gratitude for his pro-COS advocacy, DeSantis affirmed, “I'm happy to do it. We're gonna get that done.”
Having initially endorsed the Article V movement following his 2019 election victory, the popular governor has consistently spoken in favor of the organization on the campaign trail, raising awareness about this important issue.

“I’ve spent years fighting the DC Swamp, and as the Governor of Florida, I know the states need to use Article V to take the power away from DC,” he contended. “The permanent bureaucracy will never voluntarily give up an ounce of its power. Florida was the third state to pass the resolution, and I encourage all other state legislatures to support the Convention of States Project and pass the resolution today.”
Last year, Convention of States launched Project POTUS, a grassroots-led initiative encouraging presidential candidates to clarify their support for this constitutional solution. For more information or to share a lead, please visit conventionofstates.com/projectpotus.
