People across America are awake, but it’s NOT the self-proclaimed, virtue signaling “woke” freak show stars.
This week alone, I’ve been a part of 3 perfect episodes that bolster my hope for America’s future and the success of Convention of States.
Episode 1.
A dear friend of mine who is a lifelong progressive responded positively to my volunteerism. She immediately jumped on the “term limits” bandwagon. She lamented that "...everything we were told about COVID over the past 3 years turns out to be false" and “Where has all the money gone?”
I encouraged her to do the research herself about Convention of States then draw rational conclusions about our mission.
Episode 2.
A service provider in our home asked about our COS “Term Limits Now” yard sign. He is an immigrant from El Salvador who arrived in 2000 and is now a citizen. I explained the term limits concept along with the other pillars of Convention of States. We had a robust conversation about politics in general. He educated me on the current president of El Salvador who is taking care of the citizens, imprisoning criminals and prioritizing education, resulting in less immigration from El Salvador to the US.
I let him know I’m a volunteer for COS and gave him several social media cards. I told him that as a citizen, he owes it to himself and his family to get informed.
Episode 3.
My daughter is a recent college graduate and now works for a Fortune 500 media organization. This week she participated in a mandatory corporate diversity, equity and inclusion training and town hall event. She texted me throughout the sessions bemoaning the abject incoherence and illogic of these trainings, including the outrage over trying to be convinced that using “they/them” pronouns is correct grammar!
She now admits that she fell hook, line & sinker for the BLM “Summer of Love” propaganda of 2020.
Good things come in threes.
Across the demographic spectrum – a 60-something female progressive, a 40-something immigrant and newly minted citizen and a 20-something college graduate – the Woke Left freak show is exposing itself as toxic drivel. It's a show that no one wants to watch anymore.
People are waking up from their slumber and changing the channel. The woke freak show ratings are tanking!
I have hope!
