Voters weigh in on new allegations of Biden family corruption

Published in Blog on June 15, 2023 by Jakob Fay

According to the latest poll from Convention of States Action and The Trafalgar Group, a majority of American voters believe that the Biden family received payments from foreign leaders to influence policy in Washington, D.C.

The ongoing congressional investigation into the former vice president’s controversy-saddled family has reportedly exposed multiple family members receiving unaccountable payments from an associate with ties to China.

Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, James Comer, alleged in a press release that “members of the Biden family and their companies received over $1.3 million in payments from accounts related to their associate, Rob Walker. Most of this money came as a result of a wire from a Chinese energy company and went not only to Hunter and James Biden, but also to Hallie Biden and an unknown ‘Biden.’ It is unclear what services were provided to obtain this exorbitant amount of money.”

Additionally, Walker received $3 million from the Chinese company shortly after Biden left the White House in 2017.

This would not be the first time that accusations of corruption have plagued the family. For years, Hunter Biden’s lucrative “consulting” position at Burisma, a Ukrainian gas company, has been the source of great public interest and controversy. According to a shocking new report from "highly credible" sources, Joe himself may have received $5 million from the company while his son served on its board.

Despite these disturbing allegations, the media seem uninterested in further probing the president. Instead, they have focused their attention on Donald Trump following last week’s federal indictment of the former president. Nevertheless, as the polling reveals, the American people are still highly suspicious of Joe Biden.

“While Biden uses his weaponized DOJ to target Trump with an unprecedented prosecution, his family used the office of the Vice President and President to sell access to foreign leaders,” reported Mark Meckler, President of the Convention of States. “The congressional investigation is not even complete and this poll shows the majority of… Americans have already seen enough documented proof to believe a disgraceful and illegal scam was/is being run by President Biden’s family. This is an affront to our country and the DOJ and FBI are continuing to subvert justice and cover for the Biden crime syndicate.”

“The Oversight Committee is concerned about the national security implications resulting from President Biden’s family receiving millions of dollars from foreign nationals,” stated Chairman Comer. “We will continue to follow the money trail and facts to determine if President Biden is compromised by his family’s business schemes and if there is a national security threat.”

These reports remind us that the federal government is broken and rife with opportunity for corruption. With little to no accountability, elected officials and unelected bureaucrats can get away with lawbreaking, bribing, and double-dealing right under our noses.

Thankfully, the Founders—painfully aware of the corrupting nature of government power—predicted that this might happen and made provisions in the Constitution to guard against it.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
