Despite the White House’s attempts to place blame on Putin and other external factors for the record-breaking inflation occurring, voters simply don’t buy it.
A new poll conducted by Convention of States Action and the Trafalgar Group finds that nearly 60% of American voters think the primary reason for rising inflation is President Biden’s policies and spending.
When it comes down to it, the White House’s efforts to distort the truth instead of taking any responsibility is only becoming more obvious – especially as gas prices and groceries continue to soar.
“President Lincoln reminded Americans that you can’t fool all of the people all of the time, and that is certainly reflected in these numbers. Despite being told every day that Putin is responsible for virtually anything they’re not happy with–from inflation to baby formula to gas prices–a sizable majority of voters clearly believe it is President Biden and the Democrats, and not Moscow, who are responsible,” said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action.
For two years, the federal government has spent trillions of dollars and handed out billions both in stimulus checks and to foreign nations, most recently $40 billion to Ukrainians. It’s this reckless and out-of-control spending that has landed us where we are today, yet Democrats won’t even acknowledge it – instead they want to spend more.
With just five months until midterm elections, the nation’s current economic state is bound to have repercussions on the Democrat Party’s election results. All of middle America makes decisions based on financial stability and the rocky economic outlook facing hundreds of millions will likely make voters reconsider who they support at the polls.
