Uncovered Fauci emails prove bureaucrats lie to us "for our own good"

Published in Blog on June 03, 2021 by Article V Patriot

Flip Flop Fauci is at it again. If we didn't need more evidence that Dr. Anthony Fauci has been lying to us "for our own good," new reports this week highlight the extent of the doctor's hypocrisy.

This week, journalists published emails from Dr. Fauci in which he recommends against the use of masks, especially for asymptomatic people.

“Masks are really for infected people to prevent them from spreading infection to people who are not infected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection,” Fauci wrote.

“The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through material. It might, however, provide some slight benefit in keep out gross droplets if someone coughs or sneezes on you.”

“I do not recommend that you wear a mask, particularly since you are going to a very low risk location,” he said.

His email was addressed to Sylvia Burwell who served as secretary for health and human services from 2014 to 2017. In other words, while Dr. Fauci doesn't trust everyday Americans to protect their own health, he gave permission to another bureaucrat to make her own decisions.

In another email, Dr. Fauci points out that passing COVID-19 occurs primarily when someone is symptomatic, meaning that forcing asymptomatic people to wear masks is doubly unnecessary.

Whatever you think about masks and COVID, one this is clear: federal bureaucrats aren't committing to simply providing the best, most accurate scientific information. They're committed to controlling the behavior of the American people. They're committed to "doing what's best" to us, even if that means lying to us. And they're committed to expanding their power and influence over our daily lives.

We can't let them continue using COVID-19 to increase their power. They've already rammed through massive federal spending, prohibited landowners from evicting tenants, and threatened to impose a nationwide vaccine passport system. There is a way we can reverse their expansion of power, but we can't rely on Congress to do it.

We must turn to the people and the states, and our most powerful tool is an Article V Convention of States. A Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has the power to propose constitutional amendments. These amendments can limit the power, scope, and jurisdiction of the federal government -- including bureaucracies like the CDC, NIH, and the NIAID.

Bureaucrats like Dr. Fauci won't willingly give up their own power. We must take it from them, and we can do it with Article V.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
