Training Session at Clemmons Library

Published in Blog on April 13, 2025 by Melissa Martin

Today’s training session at Clemmons Library was all about empowering activists to take meaningful action. COS supporters from Senate Districts 29, 30, 31, and 32 were in attendance. The group watched an engaging 15-minute Convention of States Foundation Simulation, followed by a short discussion on the official proposals that emerged from it.

They received training on how to find their legislators and contact information, and how to look up a bill on ncleg.gov. In addition, they learned about HJR 379, the Convention of States Resolution, and HB 214, the Faithful Delegate Commissioner Act. Participants were encouraged to amplify their voices by reaching out to their state representatives and senators to keep these pieces of legislation fresh in lawmakers' minds, especially with the May 8 crossover date fast approaching. The upcoming surge days were mentioned and pictures shown from the March 26th surge
