On the latest installment of the Battle Cry, host Mark Meckler shared his thoughts about Joe Biden’s latest, controversial speech in front of an eerily-lit Independence Hall, explaining how and why the political class is now targeting everyday Americans.
“This week, the White House upped the rhetoric against you, and me, and anyone who doesn’t agree with them. Remember way back to Joe Biden’s inaugural speech and he said that he was gonna unite the county, he was gonna bring us all together? And there was a question back then, what he meant by “unite” because there’s a couple ways you can unite a country,” the President of Convention of States explained.
“One, is you can say, “hey, let’s agree on the things we can agree on and work towards those things and unite the country.” Or, you can say, “you know what we need to do? We need to purge everybody that we don’t like from the political system, from the commercial system, maybe from the country and then we can all unite around the stuff that I believe.” And that’s another of “uniting,” and that’s been done a lot in history,” continued Meckler.
He went on to explain that real fascists throughout history have routinely relied on the latter mode for “uniting” their countries. Real fascists are the ones who crack down on political enemies and seek to turn opponents into scapegoats for all the nation’s problems.
As the founder of fascism, Benito Mussolini, described it, fascism is summed up in the statement: “Everything in the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State.” Mark Meckler pointed out the alarming similarities between this definition of fascism and our government’s drive to federally control all areas of our lives, not to mention Biden’s urge to silence opposition.
He documents multiple examples that prove the federal government’s willingness to ruthlessly crack down on people like you and me… people who dare question D.C.’s takeover of power. Fortunately, we have something other people who, in the past, fell prey to fascism did not have: an Article V Convention of States.
