To take a single step beyond the boundaries specially drawn around the powers of Congress is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible to definition. Thomas Jefferson
Drip, Drip, Drip…Flood!?
Many Americans wonder if our country has suddenly gone insane. Volunteers for Convention of States Action (COSA) know that “suddenly insane” disregards the long and insidious assaults on our unique culture and institutions. The flood we find ourselves in began with a slow but steady drip, drip, drip over one hundred years ago.
COSA volunteers learn from abundant historical scholarship that Marxist politicians and elites targeted our educational, financial and cultural institutions (paragraphs 7 through 24) for gradual acceptance of rule by the enlightened. What began as a slow drip: a federal income tax, public teacher’s unions and media alignment with Marxist ideologies became a river with LBJ’s Great Society and is now a flood due to “fundamental transformation”.
The brilliance of our Founding Fathers is the spiritual source of resistance for COSA members and, indeed, for all Americans. It is through their foresight, understanding of human nature and unswerving belief in Almighty God, which provided us with Article V and the ability to rein in federal power. In yet the latest gusher of rights abuses, the prescience of the Founders will be the key to defeating tyranny:
Globalists Propose Currency and Identity Rules
During the month of September, while American citizens were going about their daily routines, the G20 nations were meeting. Largely escaping any media attention, agreements regarding “building Digital Public Infrastructure, Digital Economy, Cryptoassets, [Central Bank Digital Currencies]” were formalized. US representatives approved these globalization efforts without consent of the US Congress allowing a “boundless field of power” as per Thomas Jefferson.
The European Commission stressed the need for ID systems patterned after their EU COVID-19 digital certificates and currently in use by the World Health Organization. The EU is in the process of expanding the digital certificate under a bloc-wide app that “would consolidate various personal information, including passports, driver’s licenses, and medical history.”
What Would the United States of G20 Look Like?
Although these agreements are yet to be implemented in the USA, we do not have to hypothesize the effects. We need only to look to Communist China for a picture of the end results.
China utilizes digital IDs and a central bank digital currency (CBDC). Actions or purchases at odds with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) are easily monitored by Chinese Big Brothers through the digitization of virtually all life functions.
Freedom of speech, privacy, movement and commerce, are all subservient to the wishes of CCP overlords. Since human nature is constant across time and cultures, we can expect the US of G20 to resemble CCP dominated China. Globalization is the ultimate goal and it does not benefit the USA.
The Bill of Rights Roadblock
Resistance to G20 globalization of currency and identity rests with the USA and a 230 year old document unique among all other world governments: The Bill of Rights. Alone among the constitutions of the world, the Bill of Rights guarantees in perpetuity, ten amendments specifying what the federal government is never allowed to infringe upon. These amendments act as both trip wire and barrier towards any and all who wish to strip American citizens of their civil liberties.
A few examples serve to illustrate the clashes a US of G20 would have with the Bill of Rights:
Fourth Amendment (forbids unreasonable searches and seizures):
Digital IDs enable governments to easily gather information related to all aspects of the citizen’s life (unreasonable search). CBDC gives government the ability to track and control the purchases, investments and savings of the citizenry (seizures).
Fifth Amendment (due process), Sixth Amendment (right to speedy trial) and Seventh Amendment (trial by jury shall be preserved and only according to US Law):
Once government can track and control the movement of people, goods and services via digital means, the inevitable next step will be prosecution of “undesirable” behavior. Will due process and right to speedy trial by jury be extended to those unfortunate enough to run afoul of Big Brother? The answer is already before us in the form of digital roundups (phone, email and travel logs) of January 6th protesters and jailing without trial.
Eighth Amendment (excessive fines are prohibited):
Once a citizen’s currency and identity are completely subject to federal government whim it follows that punishment will be defined by Big Brother. If an individual joins a group opposed to federal control and is subsequently blocked from internet access does that constitute an excessive fine? What about disputing climate radicals online and finding your credit cards cancelled? Possibilities abound and are limited only by imagination.
Tenth Amendment (federal power is limited by Constitutional amendment):
If most Americans fear a global government controlling the money and personal information of each and every citizen, the Tenth Amendment will be key. This article just scratches the surface of potential Bill of Rights conflicts but aggressive use of the Tenth Amendment provides the legal means to challenge these and other possible attacks on unalienable rights.
How to Resist the G20 - Educate Yourself!
Steps you can take to resist globalization and protect constitutional rights:
- Be a champion for freedom
- Resist compliance with government mandates
- Do not use the language of the "woke"
- Insist on election integrity
- Use cash where possible
- Endorse candidates who support an Article V convention.
- Inquire about how the federal officials' we elect stand on reducing federal government and empowering the States. If they are squeamish about handing power back to “We the People” then they deserve closer scrutiny.
COSA exists to reclaim the power of the separate states (We the People)—to reignite self-governance. A US of G20 cannot co-exist with our Bill of Rights.
Be alarmed, be aware and be engaged.
