This game called America will soon end and We the People are currently behind on the scoreboard.
Explaining himself as an enthusiastic college football fan who would almost never give up a Saturday in the fall – thankfully he did for something as important as Convention of States – Steve Deace compared the political climate in America today to a game of football nearing the end of the fourth quarter.
The people at the COS Summit and similar patriots across the country may be all that’s standing in the way of a civil war, Deace asserted.
Evil is running rampant. There is a demonic spirit of the age that hates all image-bearers of God, encouraging people to give in to passion and desires. Meanwhile, truth is now a feeling, subjective to each individual.
Deace explained these ideas as elements of self-destruction.
“We are so dulled by our comfort and complacency over here that we're getting out-worked,” he said. “I can tell you the last damn thing I want to live through is a civil war. If we have one it will be our own fault. We allowed this to happen because of a lack of conviction.”
Addressing the critics of a Convention of States, Deace acknowledged that it may not be perfect, but what other solution is there to the problems, abuses and corruption dragging our nation down into destruction right now?
“Just as this clock here on my time is winding down, the clock on our time here as a civilization is winding [down] too. Can you hear it?”

Biden is openly discussing nuclear war. 189% higher mortgage payments today than if you bought your home the day before Biden took office. We don't have baby formula, but we will inject the moms with an mRNA poisonous jab that they will pass on to their children.
“We're in the final minute of the game. I don't have the time to matriculate the ball down the field, Hank Stram [NFL Hall of Fame coach]. We're out of timeouts. We've got to go the length of the field here,” he explained. “When we get to the end of the game, and one team is behind, what do they do with the ball? They chuck it as far as they can into the end zone hoping for a miracle called a Hail Mary.”
You are the Hail Mary. Convention of States is the approach to counter the direction the United States is headed.
This is not a perpetual game and the clock will go final. Everyone always thinks their civilization will last forever, but those are the people who never read history books.
“Hell no, you don't get anything guaranteed forever…. If you know what time it is, fight the good fight, keep the faith, and finish the race. Finish the race!”
