Since when did spending billions on climate change, health care and IRS tax enforcement translate to reducing inflation?
The Inflation Reduction Act just passed the Senate thanks to Democrats, and it’s guaranteed to pass the House in the coming days. Which means, America is set to spend $750 billion to supposedly reduce inflation….
This is a whole new level of fraud by the crooks in Washington.
$369 billion will be directed towards energy security and climate change – thanks to fear created by the feds.
A 15% corporate minimum tax will be implemented – which will come full circle and hurt middle class consumers.
$124 billion will be directed towards MORE IRS tax enforcement – because the feds have been forgetting to collect our money recently??
Under the bill, the IRS will receive $80 billion – in taxpayer money that is – in order to better scrutinize taxpayers. The IRS funding will go towards hiring up to 87,000 additional employees. Talk about creating a federal government army working against the good of the people.
All in all, the Dems’ new bill will undoubtedly expand federal government power over the people. We’ve seen this over and over again, and Convention of States Action is not phased by the power-grabbing manipulation tactics consistently used by the government, which is why we’re working hard to call an Article V Convention of States.
The bill will make the IRS larger than the Pentagon, State Department, FBI & Border Patrol COMBINED, according to the Washington Free Beacon.
Notably, not one Senate Republican voted for the bill. South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, who has been an inconsistent Senate Republican, is whole-heartedly against the legislation. He called it a “gimmick” that adds nearly a trillion dollars to the national debt while Democrats try to paint it as a 'deficit reduction.'
"This thing is gonna make everything worse, and not one Republican is gonna vote for it," Graham said.
Before it passed the Senate, the Congressional Budget Office even said the Act “would have a negligible effect on inflation.”
No matter the party, age or background, the American people have a duty to put an end to this negligent spending. It can be fixed at a Convention of States, but 15 remaining states must file the Resolution, and they must do so soon.
There’s no time to waste. That’s why this November’s state races are so important. With the right state legislators representing you, we can get to the 34-state threshold required to call a convention and add a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution. Washington needs spending restraints.
