"There you go again..."
Those four simple words effectively dismantled President Jimmy Carter's presidential run in the 1980 election against Ronald Reagan, and the moment became one of the most famous in presidential debate history.
Carter and the Democrats had been trying to paint Reagan as too conservative and wanting to dismantle the social safety net. When he brought up Reagan's support for Medicare during one of the debates, Reagan responded with those four simple words -- and explained his true position on health insurance for the elderly.
Tonight, two presidential candidates will again face off on the debate stage, and the American people must ask themselves: which candidate will do the most to promote self-governance, freedom, and limited government in our country?
Whatever you decide, here's another thing you should know: whoever wins in November, the federal government will still be too big, too powerful, and too out-of-control.
The bureaucracy and the deep state will continue to operate. Politicians will still put politics over people, and activist judges will still try to legislate from the bench.
After you vote -- and encourage 10 of your friends to do the same! -- be sure to check out the Convention of States Project. An Article V Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that limit the power of the deep state, roll back overbearing federal regulations, and force career politicians back into the real world.
One president or Congress can't accomplish those goals by themselves. They need the people and the states to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government with a Convention of States, and you can join this exciting movement by signing the petition below!
