Are you up for the challenge?
That’s the question former Senator Rick Santorum proposed to an audience full of grassroots activists at the COS Summit earlier this year.
After 30 years in politics, Santorum said there’s one reason he’s still in this fight: guilt. On our watch, America has strayed toward the path of destruction. We have failed America, Santorum asserted.
“In my time on the national scene, this country has gone to hell in a handbasket,” he said. “Think of what the culture looks like now, what the debt and the size of the federal government looks like now.”
With the gloomy evaluation of our current standing, however, the Senator encouraged the audience that we can also be the generation that restores our Republic to what it once was.
“Ladies and gentlemen, let's just be honest, we have not met the challenge of the day. We are letting this country – the greatest country in the history of the world – become a tyrannical, sick culture,” said Santorum. “I don't want to be the generation that history looks back on and says, ‘these people lost the greatest experiment in freedom and democracy in the history of the world.’”
Watch:
It’s up to us to give all it takes to counter the culture, the media’s lies, and the collapse of American freedom.
In his heart and soul, Santorum said he believes the COS movement is at the core of a generation that saves America. In America, we are wealthy beyond belief. We have money, food, technology, and all the things we could ever want, yet we're headed down a dark path.
“The Lord motivated you to do what you're doing and called you to be here. The question is, are you going to do whatever it takes? The left wins because they are willing to do whatever it takes to win.”
Santorum added that we don’t do everything it takes because we don’t do corrupt things. Morality and integrity are key to bringing back the kind of nation we want.
COS is the generation that’s saving America.
