This quote is attributed to the legendary economist Milton Friedman who warned about federal government interference in the market and monetary policy throughout his distinguished career.
It’s safe to say he would be sounding fire alarms with the announcement of federal intent to move towards a cashless society and replace it with a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). CBDC would be like Bitcoin except it would be regulated by the federal government. Not only would cash be made obsolete but all sales transactions would now be tracked by the Federal Reserve.
Imagine a country where you are accused of using too much gasoline to fill your vehicle. The government will soon have the power to “educate” you by penalizing your bank accounts. Gun owners can apply the same scenario to themselves. It is frightening.
Whose money is it? Is it what each of us has earned and is entitled to spend accordingly? Our State of Florida believes so and has served notice to the federal government that this will not stand. Once again our legislature and governor have passed and signed law protecting Florida citizens from federal overreach.
“We the People” can help by contacting our state legislators and thanking them for their stand on our behalf. We must also contact our federal House and Senate representatives and make known that our money is just that: Ours.
COSA encourages ALL US citizens, regardless of political or cultural alignments, to forge relationships with their town, city, county, and state representatives. Let your local officials know how you wish to be governed, in spite of the Feds ignoring our voices.

Petition your state legislator
Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.
What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.
I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.
I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here:

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
info@conventionofstates.com or (540) 441-7227.
Thank you so much for your service to the people of our district.
Respectfully, [Your Name]
