New York Times: The CDC is hiding COVID data

Published in Blog on February 22, 2022 by Article V Patriot

The Centers for Disease Control is hiding COVID-19 data from the American people, according to a new report from the New York Times.

This goes without saying, but if even the New York Times is criticizing the CDC, you know there are serious problems with the agency supposedly responsible for handling the pandemic.

For more than a year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has collected data on hospitalizations for Covid-19 in the United States and broken it down by age, race and vaccination status. But it has not made most of the information public.

Two full years into the pandemic, the agency leading the country’s response to the public health emergency has published only a tiny fraction of the data it has collected, several people familiar with the data said.

For example, the CDC has information on the effectiveness of booster shots for all age groups, but it's only published data for Americans 65 and older.

Why has the agency been hiding data? Because agency officials have a "fear that the information might be misinterpreted."

This classic Deep State behavior. The elitists in D.C. don't believe everyday Americans are smart enough to look at the data themselves and make their own decisions.

These swamp monsters don't want to share all of the information because they're worried We the People might come to conclusions they don't agree with. So, instead of giving Americans the info they need to handle the pandemic effectively, they're hiding troves of data from the public view.

It's time to put the CDC back in its place. The federal health agency obviously believes it can't be held accountable to the American people. That's why the Founders included the Convention of States option in Article V.

An Article V Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has the power to propose constitutional amendments that limit the power, scope, and jurisdiction of the federal government. These amendments can bar the federal government from regulating everything from the economy to the environment to the healthcare industry. They can eliminate the alphabet soup of federal agencies and significantly limit the power of the agencies that survive the process.

If the CDC is one of those surviving agencies (which it might not be), their power will be so limited that they'll never dream of imposing their will on the American people ever again.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
