Just this week, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled 4-3 that former President Donald Trump is ineligible to appear on the state's Republican primary ballot in June. As outrage heightened, reports uncovered that all four justices who voted to prohibit Trump from the ballot attended Ivy League or East Coast elite law schools, while the three justices in dissent attended state schools.
Alarming statistics have surfaced regarding the influence of elite universities on the country. The findings suggest a growing skepticism among Americans about the concentration of power within a handful of prestigious institutions.
Perhaps most striking is that a staggering 44% of respondents believe it's detrimental to the nation that nearly every U.S. Supreme Court justice over the past four decades has hailed from either Harvard or Yale, a recent Scott Rasmussen National Survey finds.
Ivy League schools do a great job at teaching people how to HATE America
— Marjorie Taylor Greene Press Release (Parody) (@MTGrepp) December 20, 2023
Half of America's political elite received a degree from one of just 12 universities, generally Ivy League schools like Harvard and Yale. With 41% of respondents expressing concern about this disproportionate representation, questions arise about the impact on today’s political agendas and how they connect to the teachings of a very select number of universities.
“It’s clear from this polling that the American people do not trust our self-appointed, ‘highly educated elites.’ Nor should they,” COS President Mark Meckler reacted. “These are the people that have been in charge for a long time, and are widely responsible for the ruination of America.”
The nation is left to ponder whether the dominance of a select few politicized institutions fosters a healthy Republic or exacerbates the nation’s decline. As Meckler concluded, the American people have figured out the game, and "it’s likely to be coming to an end if they have anything to say about it."

Methodology
This Counterpolling™ survey of 1,000 Registered Voters was conducted online by Scott Rasmussen on December 11-12, 2023. Field work for the survey was conducted by RMG Research, Inc. Certain quotas were applied, and the sample was lightly weighted by geography, gender, age, race, education, internet usage, and political party to reasonably reflect the nation’s population of Registered Voters. Other variables were reviewed to ensure that the final sample is representative of that population.
The margin of sampling error for the full sample is +/- 3.1 percentage points.
