It’s time to get rid of many federal agencies in Washington that have been created to accumulate more wealth and power for the people running the show. In today’s government, we see mass spending, wasting, manipulating, and corruption. But what real benefit do we see?
The answer for most middle class Americans who “identify” as self-sufficient, hard-workers is: not much
And you may be thinking, ‘well they provide amenities and necessary resources.’ To an extent, possibly. But in reality, that is done and can be completely done through state and local government.
The CDC, DOE, EPA, FBI and IRS are in Washington to control the masses. Otherwise, why wouldn’t they be located where they best serve the people they are supposed to represent. Take the Department of Agriculture, for example, shouldn’t they be in the midwest? Or anywhere besides one of the largest cities in America?
But they’re not. Because politics and gamery are centralized in Washington, and it’s hard to be an important part of all the action if you're headquartered in say… Kearney, NE, or any other small city working for the people.
Just days before the Senate passage of the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act,” which will expand the IRS and other federal agencies greatly, Convention of States Action President Mark Meckler called for an end to the “alphabet soup of agencies” inside the federal government.
“How about we get rid of the Department of Education? How about we get rid of the EPA? How about we get rid of the alphabet soup of agencies and return that power to you, the people in the states,” Meckler proposed to the audience at CPAC.
Instead, Congress moved forward with adding up to 87,000 additional jobs to the dirty IRS over the weekend. Just last night, the unaccountable FBI searched Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago, an unprecedented attack on the privacy of the former president, and a foreshadow of what could come for any vocal ‘opposition’ to the Biden Bureaucracy.
While there are good leaders trying to fight corruption with morality, it’s not possible to restore our nation by just waiting for another election.
“Do you want to take your power back from DC? They will never give it to you by the way. It doesn't matter who's president,” Meckler said. “We've broken the structure in Washington, DC and the only people who can fix it – and I do mean the only people – are you, the grassroots. And that's what the Convention of States movement is about.”

The COS grassroots movement is by the people and for the people. There will come a day when the federal government is held accountable, and that day will be when the states officially call an Article V Convention of States.
