"If you claim you're a constitutionalist, and then you start cherry-picking the parts that you don't like, then you're not a constitutionalist. You're a leftist," Mark Levin said live on his radio show Wednesday night.
Convention of States President Mark Meckler joined Levin to discuss the progress of Convention of States and the battle to overcome opposition in some heavily-conservative state legislatures like South Dakota.
Meckler described how some legislators in leadership positions become "petty tyrants" insistent on blocking the COS Resolution from entering the floor for a vote.
"We've got a legislator in the leadership, Schoenbeck is his name. He's the new king I would guess, King Schoenbeck," said Meckler. "I think we have the votes in the South Dakota legislature. He killed us this year, wouldn't let it get out of committee."
Levin put pressure on state legislators, calling it their duty under the Constitution to fix the mess in Washington.
"It is the constitutional system," he defended. "As far as the state legislators go, they have a responsibility. They have a duty under the federal Constitution under Article V to help save this country."
