A Trump-appointed federal judge has granted a request to obtain information and documents from top-ranking government officials for alleged collusion to suppress free speech.
Dr. Fauci, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, other Biden administration officials and five social media companies have been issued subpoenas in the free speech lawsuit – and it’s not just another hearing in Congress, but rather a lawsuit by the Louisiana and Missouri attorneys general.
The suit asserts that the government colluded with and/or coerced social media companies to suppress “disfavored speakers, viewpoints, and content on social media platforms.”
The highly-scrutinized “Disinformation Governance Board,” which was shut down after much backlash, was intended to do just that. It's one of the many agencies that was issued a discovery request asking for information and documents. The other agencies include:
The National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Jen Easterly and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, and Nina Jankowicz, who led the Disinformation Governance Board until it was disbanded.
Twitter, YouTube, Meta, Instagram and LinkedIn were served subpoenas as well.
Voices in opposition to the political elite in control of Washington have felt the effects of censorship for years on social media platforms. The uniformed attack on free speech is part of a concentrated effort to control the narrative through selective messaging. But the American people see through this and are pushing back.
The lawsuit argues that free speech suppression is a violation of the First Amendment. The Louisiana and Missouri attorneys general are using their state power to hold these wealthy, power-hungry elitists accountable for silencing conservative voices.
Convention of States aims to take away power from the Washington bureaucrats and restore it to the state level – closer the people. This way, local leaders, as seen in this lawsuit, can truly advocate for their constituents and fight for what their people want – not what Washington pushes.
A Convention of States is what can restore the federal government to its constitutionally-bound authority. Today, the politicians on Capitol Hill are out of control, but using Article V of the Constitution can allow the people to take power away from the Washington establishment.
Together, we can call a Convention of States to peacefully propose amendments to the Constitution, like term limits, fiscal restraints and a limit to the government’s overall size and jurisdiction. Show your support for the Convention of States Project by signing the petition below.
