J.D. Vance supports Convention of States. Do you?

Published in Blog on October 30, 2024 by Jakob Fay

Have you really not signed the Convention of States petition yet??

If not… drop everything you’re doing, scroll to the bottom of this page, and SIGN THE PETITION!

Right now!!

Immediately!!!

I’ll wait.

Signing the Convention of State petition — and encouraging your friends and family to do the same — is the golden ticket to calling an Article V convention. The Article V convention is our ballast against tyranny, key to securing freedom for future generations, and passport to responsible self-governance reborn.

So, why wouldn’t you sign the petition?

Convention of States enjoys support from many of the most popular names in American politics. Ever heard of J.D. Vance? He supports Convention of States. What about Vivek Ramaswamy? He does, too. Gov. Ron DeSantis, Charlie Kirk, Ben Shapiro, Mark Levin, Sen. Rick Santorum, and Michael Farris, not to mention millions of grassroots patriots, all support Convention of States.

You might be wondering: is there anyone who doesn’t support COS?

Yeah.

George Soros.

Oh, and you (that is if you haven’t signed the petition)!

Washington “insiders” like J.D. Vance support COS because they know from first-hand experience that the federal administrative state is dangerous, dysfunctional, and damaging to American interests. They know that the American people deserve and demand an accountable federal government — one that does not ride on their backs, stifle their creativity, or waste their money.

We have endeavored to secure that kind of government through elections for years if not decades. It isn’t working. It isn’t working because no matter how many “good people” you throw into the lion’s den, it doesn’t change the fact that the lion’s den is still a hostile environment. Merely electing the right people won’t fix the problem. It’s time to clean house and reset the stage for a political landscape that truly allows liberty to flourish.

That’s why the Founders gave us Article V. That’s why many of the most noteworthy leaders in American politics are rallying around the COS cause.

The grassroots clarion call for Convention of States has never been louder — which is why, if you’ve somehow made it to the end of this article and you still haven’t signed the petition…

Tsk, tsk.

Join J.D. Vance and millions of your fellow countrymen — Democrats and Republicans — when you affix your signature to the appeal to the states to heed the voice of the people and call the first-ever Article V convention.

Don’t be a stranger. Join the movement today!

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
