Independence Day Team Meetup

Published in Blog on July 08, 2020 by Nancy Suits

Regional Captain Ed Bender for South Florida offered up a great event with area District Captains, supporters, and volunteers who took time to meet up on July 4.

It has always been this way throughout American history. Regular, grassroots Americans have stood for America in her time of need. Now is a time of need. Now is the time for Americans of good faith to stand in her defense.

Ed Bender said, "The morning of Independence Day we were blessed with a beautiful day to celebrate liberty in Florida. I am honored to be in the company of the great Patriots who volunteer with us here in Region 9. My thanks especially to Bonnie and Bill Corbett. They contributed much time, money, and resources without which this event could not have happened.

"Thanks to Larry Jennings for providing a solar generator to power the PA," he continued. "Thank you Rita--a new volunteer from Hobe Sound--and all who lent a hand. We had about 25 people join us to share Wuhan burgers with Fauci sauce and other fine cuisine. We ran out of Bat Soup. Not one mask was worn. Not one. Richard Simo traveled the furthest and brought his Constitution annotated, and we got some new volunteers and petitions signed.

"I don’t share this often, but the fifth (of July) is my birthday. It was a truly memorable day to celebrate our Independence and unwittingly throw me a birthday bash."

The Founding Fathers gave us Article V to ensure that the states could protect their freedom by proposing amendments to the U.S. Constitution that limit the power of the federal government, without congressional approval. Because what governing body would ever vote to limit their own power?

Millions of Americans support our movement, ranging from your neighbors to top constitutional attorneys like Mark Levin and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and many have seen the D.C. problem up close and personal, like Senators Marco Rubio and Tom Coburn.

We will defend the American way of life. We will defend the rule of law. We will defend American exceptionalism and greatness. We will stand for our history, our ideals, and our principles. We will not kneel, and we will not be cowed into submission by politicians, neo-Marxists, anarchists, thugs, self-important celebrities, or media personalities.
