Congress wants a hippopotamus of a spending bill for Christmas.
Oh, and some casual population control!
In the omnibus bill sure to be passed through the legislature this year, our government pays homage to the tyrannical animal kingdom.
$3 million will be spent on bee-friendly highways, $65 million for Alaska salmon research, another $5 million for the Pacific salmon populations, and $65.7 million for international fisheries.
To which the Republican representatives will presumably shout, “American fish first!”
Our big, fat government of the people, by the people, for the salmon.
But wait, it gets worse.
Horrifically, Congress allocates at least $575 million for “family planning/reproductive health, including in areas where population growth threatens biodiversity or endangered species."
Over half a billion dollars for the reduction of the human population.
Why? On account of the animals.
Our government has made it clear that We the People are not their priority. In fact, it would be better if We the People were aborted or otherwise get out of the bees’ way.
Who can blame them? I hear fish make very compliant subjects.
This is the way our government works, regardless of who wins the seats in November. Federal power is not for the people, but as witnessed in this bill, directly against their existence.
Voting cannot be enough, for the issue is baked in the cake.
Call your representatives and wish for an Article V Convention of States this Christmas.
Only at a convention could amendments be proposed, such as a single-subject bill amendment, to stop these annual spending sprees in D.C.
