Here we go again... Feds expected to flex their authoritative, mask mandate muscle

Published in Blog on August 24, 2023 by Brianna Kraemer

Skeptics knew it wasn't over.

Covid-19 was just the start of authoritarian practices coming down from D.C. crooks. The same people who spend their lives profiting off of taxpayers were the same people telling millions of Americans if they could leave their homes.

Mask up. Vax up. Shut up. Lock down, sit down, bow down. That was the name of the game for two years, as we all distinctly remember. And above all else, listen to the authorities – no questions asked.

CDC aficionados cheered in relief when the deadly, once-in-a-lifetime pandemic had subsided. As stay-at-home orders were lifted and restaurants reopened, freedom returned to people's lives. Happy ending, right?

That's not how freedom works, which is why to this day, millions remain disgusted at the U.S. government. If liberty can be confiscated as easily as it was, it can and will be taken again. The precedent has been set for any future, national disturbance. As such, patriots have been standing by hesitantly. After all, essentially no government officials were punished for their willful power abuses.

We enjoyed another taste of freedom because scientists developed a vac***e, but it's time for a reminder that it's indeed an artificial state. New reports say that the government is planning to reintroduce health mandates this fall due to a frightening variant from our neighbors to the north. It's fitting that Trudeau's country would be the one to blame for the infringement of Americans' sovereignty.

Border patrol agents and TSA employees reported that the Biden administration was preparing the agencies for new lockdowns, masks, boosters, and social distancing in September or October.

Just as the leaked reports circulated, CNN delivered on the narrative with a headline that reads: "It may be time to break out the masks against Covid, some experts say." The CNN article says if you are a high-risk individual, "it’s time to dust off those N95 masks and place them snugly over your nose and mouth to protect yourself."

The CDC is reportedly tracking a highly mutated variant while the agency's website data displays a 21% uptick in Covid-19 hospitalizations in the past week. Meanwhile, universities including Rutgers, Georgetown, and Morris Brown College have reinstated mask mandates.

Will the people flex their freedom-loving muscles? At COS, we regularly ask ourselves, who decides? Let's all make it clear this time around who decides – WE THE PEOPLE.

Step up and take action with Convention of States so we can rein in the federal government once and for all. Accountability will never come for government agents like Dr. Fauci unless we all do something. Here's your chance to do something. Get involved and sign the COS petition below.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
