Florida State House Representative Toby Overdorf has endorsed Convention of States Action, calling for a convention for proposing amendments under Article V of the U.S. Constitution.
Rep. Overdorf supports new amendments to the U.S. Constitution proposed by the states to rein in the Federal government. In this video he calls for amendments on three specific and limited topics:
1. Mandate fiscal responsibility in D.C. and balance the budget
2. Limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government
3. Establish term limits on the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives
Rep. Overdorf puts his name on the line by signing the Convention of States Action petition supporting an Article V convention. Doing so sends his petition to his state representative. In this case, he will automatically get an email from himself!
The Founders never intended D.C. to get so large and expensive, or usurp so much power from the states and the people to control every detail of our lives, or stay in office for decades.
Congress has proven time and again it won’t fix itself.
