FBI agent says Jan 6 was worse than 9/11, fed gov should be on "war footing"

Published in Blog on October 27, 2022 by Jakob Fay

According to former FBI agent Peter Strzok "9/11 is nothing compared to January 6" in terms of how dangerous it was to American democracy.

Excuse me?

The 9/11 terrorist attacks were perpetrated by Islamic militants who sought to bring America to her knees. Osama Bin Laden reportedly boasted that “with the destruction of the Twin Towers in New York, there occurred an even bigger destruction: that of the great American Dream and legend of Democracy."

Three thousand people were killed on 9/11. Thousands more have since died from Sept. 11-related illnesses.

The 9/11 extremists targeted two civilian buildings, the United States Department of Defense, and are believed to have had their sights set on the United States Capitol Building as a fourth target.

But Jan. 6 was worse than that?

Strzok, who played an important part in the Russiagate investigation, admitted that 9/11 was a “tragedy.” “But when you look at something that is an attack on democracy . . . that could actually bring about a fundamental change to American governance, as we understand it — 9/11 is nothing compared to January 6,” he claimed.

He goes on to say that the FBI and federal government should "be on the same war footing" that they were in response to al-Qaeda when dealing with the Americans who participated in the Jan. 6 Capitol Riots.

Americans who broke the law on Jan. 6 should be held accountable to the full extent of the law. But it’s absurd and offensive to compare 9/11 to Jan. 6, or the flag-waving Americans at the Capitol to the murderous Islamic radicals. It’s also dangerous to suggest that the FBI and federal government should treat both groups similarly.

The FBI under Biden has come under fire for being weaponized against outspoken critics of the president. As Americans, we should be all concerned about a weaponized federal government–no matter who it goes after–and pursue peaceful solutions to restore a just balance of power.

Convention of States is the only political solution as big as our government’s problem and is completely peaceful. Join the movement today by signing the petition below!

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
