Exposing Biden’s new advisor’s ties to the Chinese Commninust Party

Published in Blog on September 15, 2022 by Jakob Fay

President Joe Biden’s recently appointed senior adviser for clean energy innovation and implementation, John Podesta, who will manage over $300 billion in climate spending, has proven ties to the Chinese government and is friends with a high-profile CCP official.

According to FOX News, Podesta began taking calls from Tung Chee-hwa, the vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), a governing body under the Chinese Communist Party, in 2015, shortly after exiting the Obama administration.

A few months later, in an email, Podesta acknowledged he had dinner with Tung and referred to him as a “friend.”

Before these incidents, Podesta and Tung had co-authored a paper on strengthening the relationship between China and America, even as Tung became more involved in the Chinese Communist Party. In a speech, Podesta confessed to having “the highest regard for C.H. Tung's tireless efforts to bring our two nations closer together. He is always looking ahead to anticipate emerging challenges in the U.S.-China relations and to figure out what he can do to make those challenges more manageable."

The Daily Caller reports that John Podesta wrote several articles for Tung’s CCP-affiliated organization and appeared on the cover of its annual report.

Alarmingly, this isn’t Joe Biden’s only tie to the CCP. Allegedly, Hunter Biden also knew Tung. The two sat together at a political event in Beijing during the Barack Obama presidency. Hunter subsequently agreed to introduce a few of his business associates to Tung.

The Chinese Communist Party is responsible for committing terrible atrocities against its people. Many have noted, however, that Biden and others in the federal government often seem to go soft on the Chinese government.

"Under no circumstances should hundreds of billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars be at the discretion of ANYONE with ties to, or in this case an outright shill for, the Communist Party of China – a regime that is dead set on global dominance and has started a new cold war with the United States," said Senator Rick Scott of Florida. "If Biden truly cares about putting American interests, economy and national security first, he’d retract this appointment immediately."

As Senator Scott notes, Biden’s camaraderie with the evil CCP is not in the best interest of the American people. And while we can’t force Biden to distance himself from John Podesta or other compromised government officials, there is something we can do: we can limit the size and scope of the national government, implement fiscal restraints, and impose term limits on our federal officials through an Article V Convention of States.

This would keep our federal politicians accountable to us–not beholden to the CCP. It would drain the Swamp and kick out the swamp creatures whose long careers have bought them many inroads with our Communist enemies.

Our own government is far from Communist tyranny but we are straying from our Founder’s vision for a limited government. To safeguard the nation from Communist influence, we must call a Convention of States immediately.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
