Dangerously Close to Chaos

Published in Blog on October 04, 2024 by Cynthia Kisby

Many of us are disgusted by endless lies and corruption! People who diligently attempt to verify facts are thwarted by conflicting information from presumed “reliable” sources. We find it depressing to watch what is called a debate where the contest is not between the candidates but instead is controlled by biased moderators. This forum is not a debate, it is a directed Q & A interview.

Our distrust and loss of confidence in objectivity extends beyond media to the alphabet soup of government agencies including DOJ, FBI, CIA, FTC, CDC, FEMA, etc. not to mention SCOTUS, POTUS, and Congress. Are these people telling the truth? Are they following some neutral written rules or are they making them up as they go to suit a preferred ideology?

Who benefits from chaos?
The segment of our population that believes America was founded on the false premise of systemic racism wants all of our institutions and traditions (family, schools, churches) destroyed and rebuilt into their dystopian fantasy. Marxism proposes that there is no God, and the State must be the ultimate arbiter of how civilizations are organized. In this so-called utopian vision the individual must submit to the good of the collective. In order to reconstruct this perfect society managed by experts, critical theory (AKA CRT) teaches that the past must be obliterated.

Contrast this totalitarian plan with the design of our Founders who had studied flaws in ancient civilizations and fought to reject coercion by any type of aristocratic overlords. The Founders recognized that without Divine intervention and each individual’s strong adherence to a moral code of conduct, this new nation would founder. Knowing that men are imperfect was the reality check underlying our constitutional republic structure.

Where are we now?
Once God has been removed from all institutions, education, and conversations there is no fear of consequences. There is no concern for an immortal soul that might suffer eternally for doing “whatever it takes” to attain its own desires.

God is the one who told us we would be a lot happier if we just followed a few rules, such as don’t lie, cheat, steal, and kill. And as long as you recognize that I, God, am the reason you exist, you will understand your clear purpose and will know the difference between right and wrong.

Our country appears to have no moral compass because many believe we are here only to serve ourselves. Marxism appeals to the weak because life is painful and complicated, and it is much easier to hand over authority to some expert who promises to take care of all your needs.

Seriously, is there any chance that an earthly expert will take better care of us than God?

Article V - a Nonpartisan Solution
COS has an aspirational goal to inspire not only a political but also a spiritual reawakening in America. We encourage all citizens to be wary of calls to overthrow the laws, both spiritual and political that keep us strong and stable. Article V of our Constitution was designed to provide a nonviolent way to resolve conflict and amend our laws.

Please pay attention to the warning signs.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
