We Need Your Help in a Leadership Position
The goal of our movement is to have a team in every one of the 4,828 lower-legislative districts across the USA. Florida is a big state, having 120 lower-legislative districts, and not every one of those districts has the COS leadership it needs for a successful team. We are in special need both at the far north and far south of our grand state.
Here are our top roles to fill, right now:
· A District Captain is a social person with enthusiasm, passion, time, and energy. You are a magnet for others who want to volunteer and need someone else to takes the reins. You build relationships with volunteers and with local legislators, as the hub of your team. You recruit and activate a volunteer team holding monthly meetings (you choose the structure and location), offering training (after we train you, of course), and spearheading events. You will need at least an hour a day to call team members and strangers who have expressed interest, and motivate your team to activate at public events. The more passion and time you devote, the more spectacular your results will be. Learn more>>>
· Events Coordinators scour your district for opportunities to spread the word (fairs, gun shows, table-tops in front of local businesses, etc). You will build a relationship with your county's event coordinator to assist your efforts and establish a positive rapport with your local venues. In house, you will fill out paperwork in a timely manner to secure venue payments from our national team and to report back on event successes. You are very responsive to your DC and team, working closely with other leaders to plan, organize, and schedule meetings, and man event booths. Learn more>>>
· Statewide, we need a Videographer. You may not be an expert, but you can get the job done, creating catchy, web-friendly 5-minute (or less) clips, as well as videos 20-minutes or less for webpages and articles (must be able to edit and compress your videos). You attend your team events and our annual Rally in Tally, doing interviews of volunteers, supporters, attendees, and more and doing your best to catch exciting, organic moments happening with our movement. · A Media Liaison has work/life experience with purposefully networking and an eagerness to approach radio, television, and newspaper program directors. You secure interviews for our speakers and/or a willingness of show hosts to express support of our movement "on air" and help spread the word.
If you would rather follow a leader and pitch in where the leader needs you, read all about the many other positions (i.e. Tele-patriot, Social Media Warrior, Communications Coordinator, Content Writer...). And, if you don't see the role you know you could fill with your special set of skills, then just fill out our Volunteer Activist form and, when we call you for your interview, just share your skills and creativity with us and we will figure it out together. Everyone can find a role on our dynamic team of engaged citizens!
Our Organization
The diagram below shows how our volunteers are organized either geographically through a District and Regional Captain or by state-level functional teams such as Legislative Liaisons, Systems, Communications, or Coalitions such as Veterans Affairs or Education. We all work together with strategic guidance and support from the State Director.

Training
COS will help you grow into whatever role you choose. After you apply as a volunteer you will create an account at COS University (if you haven't already) and complete helpful courses (aka watch videos) like:
- COS 100 Introduction to COS
- VOL 100 Introduction to Volunteering
- COS 200 Responding to Opposition
- GOV 100 Constitutional Literacy
If you want to get a jump start, go-ahead and complete them now. These 4 courses available to the public are required for all volunteers. We also recommend studying other free classes such as Biblical Citizenship offered by Patriot Academy and Constitution 101 from Hillsdale College and we have in-house volunteers who also teach Servant Leadership (highly recommended for ALL our leaders).
Your District Captain or Team Leader will introduce you to other volunteer mentors. We have lots of virtual meetings and the more you attend, the more comfortable you will feel with engaging in the battle. To find your local leaders use the House District and COS Regions maps and lists.
Why Join Us?
Our Founding Fathers intended this country to be protected by the citizens as participants. This great experiment was conceived to keep power out of the hands of a select few who could surely be expected to abuse their power through taxation and regulation, not to mention suppress our individual God-given rights. We must engage to keep the few limited more than the many.
If you care about the future of this democratic republic, you will be comfortable with our team which strives to live up to our inherited Judeo-Christian values.
We do care about each other. We believe that love, not hate, is the answer.
