Like those birds of a feather that flock together, so do the Florida Convention of States leaders. A group of them descended upon Florida State Director Denah Butts's home in Riverview this past weekend for the 2023 State Strategy Meeting. Their goals were to identify, evaluate and strategize various interests and objectives for both the immediate future and into the next twelve months. Coffee, team building, dissemination of information and constructive planning flowed from the first cup to the last presentation.
Since Florida has already passed its Resolution, cultivating the grassroots army is now at the top of the order and our volunteer leaders were geared up to discover new ways to appeal to other Floridians who may have similar drives and desires. Our leaders also recognized that the district captains (DC) are, in many ways, our foundation and the volunteer activists (VA) are the boots on the ground. How we inform ourselves and guide others is essential to reaching success as an organization and to achieve our ultimate destination of a Convention.
What Convention of States is not, is a super-slick brochure-esque platform of platitudes going nowhere. COS Action Florida is made up of real people, genuinely concerned Americans, who are driven to alter the failing trajectory of their nation. Our role as volunteers is to reach-teach-activate the public as much as it is to do the same within our own ranks and day-to-day operations.
COS Florida volunteers are just like anyone else in the real world that is working hard and living the American Dream, and we come from widely varied backgrounds that provide impactful influence and positive potential outcomes to this historic and monumental endeavor. We need each other as much as we need a Convention of States.
We are proud of each other and encouraged to be proud of ourselves while we move forward in unison to return the passion and the power back to We the People. There is a role for everyone and if you would like to get involved amongst like-minded people, sign the petition below and click here for our volunteer role descriptions - we need you!
