November 6 - The American people have elected Donald Trump and Convention of States supporter JD Vance to serve as the next president and vice president in what Vance called “the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States of America.”
“Under President Trump’s leadership, we’re never going to stop fighting for you, for your dreams, for the future of your children,” the Senator from Ohio declared in his victory speech early Wednesday morning.
Vance’s support for using Article V of the U.S. Constitution to limit federal spending, power, and terms of office affords the grassroots movement a historic opportunity to raise awareness about COS and advance the cause. The author of the bestselling “Hillbilly Elegy,” Vance blasted “the establishment” in his RNC acceptance speech — a message that resonated with many COS supporters.
“I grew up in Middletown, Ohio, a small town where people spoke their minds, built with their hands, and loved their God, their family, their communities, and their country with their whole hearts,” he said. “But it was also a place that had been cast aside and forgotten by America’s ruling class in Washington.”

“For decades, that divide between the few with their power and comfort in Washington and the rest of us only widened,” he added. “The people who govern this country have failed and failed again.”
Vance is fueled by the same passion that drives thousands of COS activists and supporters: the unmistakable conviction that the federal government does not govern in our best interests. It’s the beginning of a political and spiritual awakening in America — a rising awareness that We, the People, are better off when we do not depend on the federal government to supply our every need. The American people have entrusted Vance with a mandate not to govern like other elites. If he answers the call, we may yet witness a new birth of self-governance in America.
