The Convention of States Resolution has been filed in the the Senate and the House. Maryland now has a total of 6 Senators and 29 Delegates sponsoring the Convention of States resolution - the most ever!

What Next?

You can start by sending handwritten thank you cards and other communications to the legislators who signed on are in order! Especially our courageous lead sponsors, Senator Justin Ready and Delegate Mark Fisher, who rallied with supporters at Lawyers Mall on a beautiful day in Annapolis. You can find their contact information at the next link.

Then, contact your legislator and let them know you support the COS Resolution and urge them to learn more and support as well.

Next, you can register for a MyMGA account and then create a watch list and pin these resolutions to that list. You'll receive updates on the progress of each bill on your watch list as it moves through the legislature.

Finally, attend a hearing in Annapolis. COS Action Maryland is invited to testify in the Senate on March 14 in support of our resolution. The House hearing has not yet been announced.

In the coming weeks, look for more updates on our progress through the Maryland State Legislature and how to get involved.

We are now more than halfway to our goal to convene a Convention of States! 19 of the needed 34 states have passed the resolution, and we're making progress in all 50 states, including Maryland.
