The leaked Roe v. Wade Supreme Court opinion has sparked outrage among pro-abortion groups accross America, yet most people still agree that taking that anger to the homes of the conservative Justices that sit on the bench is not the right thing to do, according to a new poll from Convention of States Action and the Trafalgar Group.
Pro-choice activists were seen protesting outside Catholic churches over the weekend, as well as outside the homes of Justices Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh and Chief Justice John Roberts. Yet, Biden has failed to condemn the violent outbreaks that have been seen in recent days in response to the leaked opinion.
According to the new poll, 75.8% of American voters think that publishing the home address of the five conservative U.S. Supreme Court Justices and calling for protests at their homes is not an acceptable way to protest the High Court’s decision on Roe v. Wade.
Over half of Americans also think that Biden’s failure to clearly condemn these acts will result in potentially unlawful or violent protest.
“These numbers make it clear that the Biden Administration’s refusal—both to forcefully condemn these illegal demonstrations and to enforce laws protecting Justices of the United States Supreme Court—is wildly unpopular with voters,” said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action.
The leaked opinion has allowed abortion activists to gather together to mount pressure on the conservative Justices in hopes that they will change their minds. Despite the demonstrations, it’s safe to say that Americans still have faith in our judicial system and want our Justices to rule using prudence – not public pressure.
It remains to be seen whether the nation’s most powerful judges will cave to the leftists scheme or stand firm in their pro-life legal opinions.
This test will prove whether our judicial system is still worthy of its noble status and will set an example for all courts moving forward.
