Are U.S. tax dollars funding human trafficking within our borders?
James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas just released details on a nine-month investigation into the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), after a whistleblower stepped forward with insider information on the abuse within the agency.
Tara Lee Rodes, a federal employee for over 19 years, volunteered to assist the HHS with the processing and placement of unaccompanied minors arriving at the border.
What she found was shocking.
As many as 109 unaccompanied children were housed and sponsored within a four-mile radius in Texas.
Further investigation into the matter found even more harrowing details.
Most of these children were not related to their sponsor. A young girl, who did not know her own name, lived with four unrelated, grown men. A teenager was forced to drop out of school and work illegal hours in a kitchen.
A 16-year-old girl was “pimped” by her aunt in her own home in order to pay back the debt the aunt claimed was owed to her.
“We know children have been trafficked through this program,” Rodes tells O’Keefe.
In Rodes's experience, the HHS does little more than hand these children from the cartels at the borders to the traffickers within the states.
All on the nation’s dime.
When Rodes brought her concerns for these children to her supervisors she was told, “we only get sued if we keep kids in care too long. We don’t get sued by traffickers."
The US has no business aiding and abetting criminals at the expense of helpless children.
This abuse must stop.
The officials at the HHS must answer for these allegations, or else step down.
