The Convention of States Project is pleased to announce an endorsement from businessman and entrepreneur, Pete Coors.
Pete Coors explains why he supports the Convention of States: “Our nation is currently at risk, due in part to the massive centralization of power in Washington, DC. Career politicians, activist judges and unelected bureaucrats continually erode our freedom, and steal from future generations by expanding our debt. From decades of business and political experience, including a run for the U.S. Senate, I have come to the conclusion that DC can never fix itself. It is for this reason I have become a supporter of the Convention of States Project. Along with my friends, retired Senator Tom Coburn and Mark Meckler, I believe it is the solution as big as our nation’s problems.”
"Pete Coors is an important American and international business figure. He’s also a thoughtful philanthropist, and someone who has been engaged in the political fight in America for a long time,” says Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action. “He doesn’t lend his name lightly, and we’re honored and humbled that he has endorsed the Convention of States Project. We fully expect that many other business people will take note and take a serious look at the project and follow Pete’s lead.”
Coors is Chairman and Chief Customer Relations Officer of Molson Coors Brewing Company. He is an engineering graduate of Cornell University and a business graduate of the University of Denver. His entire career has been spent in the beer industry. He serves on multiple boards and is active in his home state of Colorado. Pete is the great-grandson of Adolph Coors, who founded the Golden Brewery in 1873.
